Water Jetting For Concrete Slip Prevention

Ultrahigh-Pressure Water Jetting (UHWJ)

Working within the well-defined standards of SSPC-SP12/NACE No.5, UHWJ is a widely accepted alternative for surface preparation of concrete substrate, for slip prevention.

Using only 2-4 gal. of water per minute, from a standard garden hose, KPC Coatings' GA100 series Ultrahigh-Pressure Water Jetting (UHWJ) pump is a versatile, cost effective and environmentally friendly solution for slip prevention on concrete.

KPC's Certified Operator has the ability to control and hold the water pressure delivery rate within a range of 6000 to 40000 PSI. Working to a predetermined required profile (WJ-1 to WJ-4) the operator controls the removal of substrate by adjusting the pressure according to the required type of profile and by confirming the rate of coverage.

UHWJ may be destructive to non-metallic surfaces. Protection for these areas shall be provided, as determined by the customer's specifications.

Because of water encapsulation dust is eliminated. Cleanup of waste material and water is simple and economical, either by vactoring or manual means.

KPC's unit is trailer mounted and easily dispatched to meet our customer's needs. The assembly is complete with up to 350 feet of hoses and a Vulcan Rotary Head Spray Gun.
