Repaint Assets At Departure Bay, Nanaimo, BC

Having recently completed BC Ferries, Departure Bay, Berth Three piling cap work time and materials contract, KPC Coatings has been awarded a fixed price contract through the tendering process to repaint several other assets at Departure Bay, Nanaimo, BC.

The contracted work will include the preparation and painting of Berth Two pylons, Berth Two loading apron and counter weights; Berth Three apron, counter weights, lifting beam, maintenance walkway and hand rail. There are three areas of significant restrictions to the work to be carried out. First tidal awareness and management of work that will be affected by tidal ebb and flow, second management of the work area based on incoming and outgoing ferries, and third working over or on the water. The project will be completed over 5 - 6 weeks.
