Safety & Quality Control Compliance Officer
KPC presently has three project managers that are individually tasked with
research, creation and drafting of safety, environment and quality control
plans.
Our goal is to retain one individual to assume this role and working primarily
from established formats produce the documentation required by each contract
we under take to effectively meet our mission.
The accreditation required for the position will be a minimum of:
- Certified Construction Safety Officer of British Columbia
- NACE Level Three - Technician
Supplementary Requirements
Construction experience
Able to identify hazards, assess risks and develop risk controls
Produce written Safe Work Procedures
Report generation demands ability
to type effectively.
Proficient in educating employees in safe work practices
Familiarity and aptitude to utilize a computer and Microsoft Office.
Drivers' license.
The ability to travel as required.
Additional Assets
Knowledge of Work Safe BC Regulations
Knowledge of Industrial Painting Safe Work Practices and Procedures.
WHMIS Instructor
Respirator Fit Tester
Confined Space
Fall Protection
Worker assessment and award
Rescue
Familiarity with lead or asbestos abatement work
You will be responsible for development of the site specific programs and ensuring, in a managers capacity, primarily through delegation, effective implementation of them.
Unlike general contractors our contracts can run as short as a week as long as three months. KPC produces contract specific documents for every project undertaken.
This will be a demanding position, requiring a strong commitment and the ability to manage time and personnel effectively.
